Back up to Google Drive

Connect the organisation’s Drive, request a backup and inspect its recorded result.

How-toChecked 2026-10-11

Only an owner or admin can connect Drive, read backup history, request a backup or disconnect. The connection belongs to the organisation.

Connect

  1. Open Settings, then Backup.
  2. Read What is in a backup. Private notes and tasks, archived records, supported files and eligible email data are included. Held and bank details can be readable in the copy.
  3. Choose Connect Google Drive, then Continue to Google.
  4. Select the Google account that should hold the organisation's copies and review Google's permission request.
  5. Complete Google's consent yourself. Returning to Adapt should show the connected account.

Adapt requests access to files it creates. The consent step does not give an assistant permission to complete Google sign-in for you.

Run and check

  1. Choose Back up now. This starts a request; it does not mean every file has finished uploading.
  2. Follow the status in Backups in your Drive.
  3. Open the run to inspect its date, result, counts and files. Read any failure message or limit in the saved manifest.
  4. Open your Google Drive and check the Adapt Leads backups folder when the run is complete.

If a backup is already running, inspect that run rather than requesting duplicates. An empty or failed run is different from a completed copy.

Disconnect

Choose Disconnect, read the confirmation and press Disconnect again. Future copies stop. Copies already in Drive remain there. Reconnect through Google consent when you want to resume.

There is no schedule editor or Drive restore button. See Google Drive backups for contents, rotation and recovery limits.
