Selling into hospitality?
Here's the playbook.
Say you sell linen and guest toiletries to hotels and guest houses. Cafés, holiday lets and event venues are in the same search. The samples here are in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Cardiff, Tenby and Conwy.
Hi Ruth,
I saw you've started as general manager at Calton Hill Rooms. Congratulations.
A guest house your size often sorts the linen and the toiletries before the season turns. Would a short look at what you send out each week help?

Each place, on its own record.
London, Tenby and Inverness
Clerkenwell Stay in London, Harbour Light in Tenby and Ness View Holiday Lets in Inverness each keep their own record. A booking site is only a listing.
The name over the door
Kelvin Lane Café in Glasgow, Conwy Quay Café and The Glasshouse in Cardiff sit in the same search. You see the trading name and the company side by side.
A manager you can name
Where the register or the business names someone, the record shows that person, and whether their own mailbox has been checked.
Two sources, or the register.
A limited company such as Calton Hill Rooms can be checked against the official register. A guest house or a café with no company number stays Claimed until two independent sources agree. We do not fill a gap with a guess.

Questions, answered
Which businesses does this cover?
Hotels, guest houses, cafés, holiday lets and event venues. Pubs and restaurants have their own playbook.
What if a hotel is part of a chain?
Each hotel keeps its own company. A company number shared by many sites is treated as the brand's.
Can I search a holiday let?
Yes, where it trades as a business and we can check what it publishes. A private home that never publishes a business is not in the book.
How do I catch a new manager?
Adapt Insights shows new directors, new companies and moves for the places in your feed.
