Turn a signal into an opener

Prepare a first line from a real recorded event, then check and edit it before using it.

How-toChecked 2026-10-11

Prepare an opener from the signal's actual event and date rather than an assumed buying intention.

  1. Open Adapt Insights, then Feed, and read a signal's headline and date.
  2. Choose Get in touch, then Have your agents write to them, for the business writing flow. Follow its campaign and person options.
  3. Alternatively, open the business record and use the Opener control on a signal, or ask Engage for a specific opener using that record's context.
  4. Read the full draft and supporting information. Change the words so they are accurate and sound like you.
  5. Save or copy using the offered control. This does not itself launch a campaign or prove a message was sent.

Where a record or signal is missing or withheld, do not substitute another business or invent an event. Ask for a supported next step or check the record first.

A signal is not consent. For cold email and calls, PECR and UK GDPR still apply. This is guidance, not legal advice. See PECR and UK GDPR in plain words for a B2B seller and Review what an agent prepared.
