Quality grades & verification

Every record carries a 1–5★ grade, and every email is checked before it can be exported. Here's exactly what those mean — so you always know what you're getting before you spend an export.

What the 1–5★ quality grades mean

The grade shows how complete and verified a record is. A 5★ record is a registered company with a named director and a verified email. Lower grades simply mean fewer of those elements are confirmed. Crucially, you see the grade before you export, so you never overpay for a thin record.

GradeWhat's confirmed
5★Registered company + named director + verified deliverable email
4★Registered company with a verified email or a named director, plus a direct phone
3★Solid business record with a direct phone and partial contact confirmation
2★Business identified with limited confirmed contact detail
1★Basic listing — the least complete, still being enriched

You can filter your whole search by a minimum grade — see filtering by quality.

What a “verified email” actually means

Each email is checked against the receiving mail server and labelled deliverable, risky or undeliverable. Only emails confirmed deliverable are ever exported, so what you send won't bounce. For a deeper explanation, read what a verified email really means.

Deliverable, risky and undeliverable explained

  • Deliverable — the mail server accepts the address. This is the only status we export.
  • Risky — it can't be confirmed, typically a catch-all domain that accepts everything. We never sell these as verified.
  • Undeliverable — the server rejected it. It won't be exported.
Guessed or catch-all addresses are never shipped as “verified”, which is what keeps your sending domain safe.

Why do some records have no email?

Not every business publishes a reachable address, and we won't attach a guessed one. If we can't confirm a deliverable email, we leave it off rather than pretend — though over 90% of records still carry a direct phone, so there's usually still a way to reach them.

Are the phone numbers verified too?

Over 90% of businesses in the database carry a direct phone number, drawn from public and licensed business data. Email is the contact we verify against the mail server before export; phones are provided as sourced.

How often the data is re-verified

Daily. Our enrichment engine continuously re-verifies emails and re-checks company details, so a record's grade reflects its current state rather than when it was first added. Coverage is still growing, but it improves every day. See how our data is built.
